Workshops build skills in teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and creative expression, while also supporting social-emotional well-being and mental health – priorities at the heart of today’s classrooms.
Our programs are highly adaptable and can be tailored to every age group. Our circus and visual arts workshops serve students from Kindergarten through Grade 12, while our physical theatre workshops are designed for Grades 6 to 12.

Phys Ed – Circus Workshops
CIRCUS WORKSHOPS
Inspiring imagination and creative confidence
Bringing joy, confidence, and teamwork through circus. Our circus workshops use collaborative, non-competitive activities to help students set goals, build confidence, and work together in a fun and supportive environment.
Students try skills such as juggling, diabolo, flower sticks, poi, plate spinning, tight wire, slack line, rola bola, crazy legs stilts, rolling barrels and yo-yo.
Circus workshops are suitable for grades K-12.
Private School Option: Private schools receive access to our full range of circus training, including strap-in stilts, walking barrels, unicycle, and aerial skills.

$110/hr per instructor, plus one additional hour per instructor, per day, (30-minute set up and 30-minute tear down).
For circus workshops, our standard instructor-to-student ratio is 1:15, however to accommodate budgetary restrictions, in schools we offer 1:30 with the requirement that the Phys Ed teacher and classroom teacher be present for safety.

Visual Arts – Puppet Workshops

COLLABORATIVE PUPPET WORKSHOPS
Inspiring imagination and creative confidence
Students expand their creativity through hands-on puppet making. Projects can be individual or collaborative, making this a versatile program for K-12 classrooms. They learn to use simple tools, problem-solve, and engage in teamwork while producing unique creations that reflect their imagination.

Our papier-mâché puppet workshops encompass simple puppets like flat back 3D relief group projects to complex rice paper lanterns. In these workshops, our standard instructor-to-student ratio is 1:30 with the assistance of the art teacher. In younger grades, aides are benificial.
SOCK PUPPET WORKSHOPS
Hands-on creativity for early learners
Students bring their imagination to life as they design, dye, and decorate their own sock puppets. Along the way, they develop fine motor skills, storytelling abilities, and self-expression in a playful, supportive environment. Each child finishes with a puppet they can proudly animate and take home.
We can help create a short show that your class can present with their puppets.
Sock puppets are suitable for grades K-3.

In our sock puppet workshops, our standard instructor-to-student ratio is 1:30 with the assistance of the art teacher and an aide, hot glue guns are required for this project.


FOAM PUPPET WORKSHOPS
Building skills through design and performance
Students gain practical, hands-on experience as they construct their own Muppet-style foam puppets using tools such as knives, glue guns, and sewing.
The process encourages focus, patience, craftsmanship and listening skills, while blending technical skill with artistic imagination.
Each student finishes with a durable puppet they can proudly use for performance and storytelling.
This class is more complex and suitable for grades 7-12.

SHADOW PUPPETS WORKSHOPS
Transforming stories into visual theatre
Students design and create individual shadow puppets and the world they live in. They explore how light and movement bring stories to life.
If you have a topic you are working on with your class, we can help create a short show highlighting that theme, that your class can present with their puppets.

SIMPLE MARIONETTE PUPPETS WORKSHOPS
Bringing characters to life through movement
Students construct their own marionette puppets and discover how strings and movement can turn simple designs into expressive characters. By the end, each student has a working puppet and the skills to animate it; a hands-on lesson in both craftsmanship and manipulation.
This class can be customized to fit grades 1-12. The simple walking bird is great for grades 1-6.
For the older grades, we can explore the challenge of a complex puppet like the second photo.

Theatre and Drama – Physical Theatre Workshops
MASK WORKSHOPS
Exploring identity and character through movement
Students will learn the art of neutral masks, half and full-face character masks and Commedia Dell Art masks.

Neutral masks focus on centering oneself emotionally and physicality in order to express authentic emotional honesty.

Character masks focus on character development through breath-work and physical movement exploration.

Commedia masks focus on exploring status and physicality through traditional archetypes.
Each style unlocks new forms of creative expression, and students learn to embody roles in bold and expressive ways.

CLOWNING WORKSHOPS
Unlocking joy, resilience, and bravery
Students will learn European-style clowning techniques like physical comedy, improvisation, slapstick and notions of high and low status. Clowning teaches students to embrace vulnerability, build confidence, and connect authentically with peers.
This class is very versatile and can be customized to every grade level. K-6 get to be silly, play and have fun, 7-9 start to understand what being in drama is all about and high school students can dig deep.

MIME WORKSHOPS
The art of storytelling without words.
Students will be introduced to the art of silent or physical storytelling through movement based exercises and techniques.
Using Corporeal Mime Techniques, students will learn illusion based mime such as the wall and rope pull, while becoming more aware of the body as it moves through a physical space.

MURALS – WITH DEAN STANTON

MURAL WORKSHOPS
Celebrating community through collaborative art
Led by Calgary-based artist Dean Stanton, mural residencies invite students to design and paint large-scale works that leave a lasting legacy in their school. Projects can be adapted to fit the size, vision, and budget of each school – from small indoor murals to expansive outdoor installations.
