SOCIAL CIRCUS CAMPS

Green Fools Theatre offers free circus camps for youth at risk, new immigrant and first nation youth for kids age 8 and up!

Circus camp can include stilt walking, clown, mask, mime, juggling, acrobatics, wire walking, unicycle, tight wire, balancing and swinging trapeze. Workshops are typically five days long and conclude with a student performance for the community at large.

Our camps build confidence and self-esteem, and encourage creative expression. Our instructors emphasize teamwork, respect, gender equity and dedication. Students learn to work together on skills that transcend barriers of age and gender; skills that require everyone involved to be focused and committed.

These programs are generously funded by private donors, granting agencies and foundations including, Canada Council for the Arts – Inter arts Program, Calgary Arts Development,  and the Calgary Foundation and we are proud partners with Cirque du Soleil.
