Green Fools Theatre Physical Theatre Intensive – an introduction to physical theatre techniques.

UPCOMING DATES TO BE ANNOUNCED

The course runs at the West Village Theatre, 2007 10 Avenue SW. The program will include Mask, Mime, Clown, and Circus Skills.

Our Physical Theatre Intensive course offers a 20 hour intensive workshop for adults. Participants will learn and explore the Masked Body and The Physical Character. Using neutral mask, Balinese masks, full and half face character masks, the Masked Body will be developed as a performance tool. Physical Character will be created through movement engaging corporeal mime, slapstick, clown, and the darker side of clown – bouffon. We will also include lessons in circus skills including stilt walking, juggling, unicycle, and tight wire. Each class will begin with physical warm ups and interactive team building techniques. We will finish the week with a final presentation for friends, family and the general public. All skill levels accepted, dress to move. This course is ideal for students, performers, or anyone interested in exploring alternative acting techniques and adding physical training to their performance repertoire. Perfect for the ambitious, the talented, and the fearless!
