Clark
Performer
Aerialist/acrobat Stacy Clark is a former national level gymnast. Stacy
first tried flying trapeze for fun on a hot summer's day. Ten years
later she is co-founder of High Strung aerial dance and travels internationally,
performing for audiences of all ages at festivals and special events.
She has performed across Canada and in the US, Japan, Macedonia, England,
Hong Kong and Fiji. Stacy specializes in trapeze (single and duo),
bungees, acrobatics and stilt walking. Stacy's theatre and screen credits
include aerial performances in “Variété” and “Shurum
Burum Jazz Circus”, stunt performing in three Canadian Opera
Company productions, the movie “Chicago”, TV show “Mutant
X” and commercial and music video appearances. In the fall of
2006 she added puppetry to her repertoire, appearing in Green Fools’ “Crossing
the Mediterranean.”
Instructor
Stacy teaches circus skills to kids and adults. For seven weeks each
year she instructs youth-at-risk in northern communities and inner cities
across Western Canada. 2007 marked her third year with CAMPP (Circus
And Magic Partnership Program) in Winnipeg and Northern Manitoba, and
she has taught circus camp in Dawson City, Calgary, Whitehorse and Lesotho,
Africa.
Administrator
In her past life, Stacy worked for Hummingbird Centre for the Performing
Arts, Bombardier Aerospace and Field Day, a marketing and advertising
agency. She brings over eight years of marketing and communications experience
to the front lines of both Green Fools Theatre and High Strung aerial
dance. Stacy has an uncanny ability to spot spelling and grammatical
errors in all forms of media, and when not obsessing over said errors,
would be delighted to pitch our entertainment offerings! |
