A young girl’s world is being sucked into a black hole. With the pressure of the atomic age and her nuclear family gone terribly wrong, she makes a quantum leap and finds herself inside the universe of her own mind.

Hosted by Green Fools! Join us as we unveil our latest giant puppet and present live musicians, stilt walkers and performers!

At 16 kilometers, Calgary’s Plus 15 Skywalk is the world’s most extensive elevated pedestrian walkway. As we prepare to welcome the Year of the Dragon, the Plus 15 will host a colourful surprise to commuters as dozens of costumed performers parade through its hallways!

In a multicultural celebration of the Chinese New Year, the Year of the Dragon +15 Art Parade will feature musicians, dragon dancers, traditional Chinese costumes and much more.

This one-of-a-kind event will travel through the Plus 15 system from 4:00-5:00 pm, starting at Bankers Hall (315 8th Ave SW) and concluding at Sun Life Plaza (144 4th Ave SW). Don’t miss the fun as this indoor parade marches through downtown!

Dean (seen here with aerialist and co-instructor Rebecca Leonard) travelled nearly as far north as you can go to Kuujjuaq to teach with Cirque Du Monde. This great work reaches kids in remote communities, many at risk and facing huge challenges.  These circus workshops literally save lives and bring fun, hope, joy and play to this snowy land!

Welcome to Green Fools 21st Year!

We have so many exciting new projects this season. We are thrilled to announce the Halloween Howl will be at the Uptown again this year- hint- expect an ‘other worldly’ experience. We return to One Yellow Rabbit’s Rodeo as hosts of the Year of the Dragon Parade. Look out for a new giant puppet! We will be presenting Once Upon An Atomic Bomb, a new puppet musical in March with Ghost Rivers AD Eric Rose and composer David Rhymer. Don’t miss our free, family event the annual April Fools Day Parade- cheer in spring! We will begin development of our next puppet production. As well we will be touring to teach and perform throughout Calgary and beyond. The Calgary International Children’s Festival and Green Fools Theatre invite you to experience the wonders of OVO™ You’ll be supporting the Trickster Project, . a circus and theatre arts mentorship program for First Nations inner city youth and youth living in isolated rural communities.

All proceeds will benefit the Trickster Project. $25.00 of your ticket price is tax deductible. Ticket sales are first come, first served. If you wish, you may purchase your ticket for more and all proceeds will go to the Trickster Program. A tax receipt for any amount over the first $100 will be issued.

This is an amazing program that helps so many kids in need. We teach circus skills and hold a camp that has literally saved lies. I fills the kids with confidence and brings the community together. With your purchase you make a huge difference- and you get to watch a great show!

We’re Having A BBQ

It’s the beginning of another fabulous summer and we want to welcome all the Fools great and small over to the space and enjoy the weather, the summer and each others company

We miss seeing our friends and we would love to see any new faces that are interested in being involved with the Fools. Our community of Fools is the core of this company and so this BBQ is to celebrate all of you, the summer and to keep connected with everyone.

The Green Fools Space (2404 Erlton Road SW)
Start Time: around 8:30pm, and on into the night
We Provide the Food 
We will also be providing beer by a $2 donation but feel free to bring your own drinks!

If are interested in learning stilt walking, and you are available this evening, please come early and try the stilts. Or even during the BBQ, have a burger and try out the stilts – we also have some juggling and diablo available anyone feels like learning something new (please do not drink any alcohol before attempting stilt walking)

Also part of an amazing summer party is having music – We would love to open up our BBQ to a music jam – so bring your guitars, drums, shakers and any other noise makers – if you play the piano, let us know we’ll grab you something! 

So invite your friends, family and pets and come down next Saturday to enjoy a summer night with the Fools.
