Crossing the Mediterranean originally debuted in Nov. 2006 in partnership with the Glenbow Museum and was inspired by their Art of the Ancient Mediterranean World exhibition.

Crossing The Mediterranean is the story of a young artisan on a hero's journey. His quest to discover his ancestry and identity takes him through the Egyptian and Greek underworlds, Rome, the Oracle at Delphi and to the bottom of the Ionic Sea. Along the way he meets infamous mythic and historic characters, among them Isis and Osiris, Persephone, Virgil and Cleopatra.

Using puppets, mask, music, acrobatics and giant stilt creations, Green Fools Theatre takes you on an epic and mystical tour through ancient Egypt, Rome, and Greece. This whirlwind adventure transports audiences to a time when three of the world's greatest cultures collided.
